This divya desam is about 4 miles from Trichy. It can be reached by train
as it is in the Trichy-Vilupuram chord line. This place is also known as
Uttamar Koil, Biskshandar Koil, Neepa kshetram, Kadamba vana kshetram,
Trirumurti kshetram and Adimahapuram. This temple is very close to the
kollidam river. A unique feature of this divya desam is there are three
sannithis, one for each of the Holy trinity viz., Siva, Brahma and Narayana.
Their respective consorts also have a shrine. In addition, there is a special
shrine for Goddess of Learning, Sarasvati. Druing karthikai deepam, both
Perumal and Siva are taken out in procession round the streets of the temple
town.
